The joys of being eleven! Being harassed by adults for who you are. His essay reminds me of a few of my son's essays in practicing for the CHSPE (California High School Proficiency Exam). One was about jobs and he wrote about the fantastic job of Elevator Operator. Another, I don't recall the prompt, he wrote about choosing Satanism. It demonstrated a good grasp of style, structure, evidence and sarcasm! I told him not everyone has his sense of humor. It's too bad, some adults don't know that kids are here to teach us more than we are teaching them.
Yeah, mine is angry often. He has a right to be. But I hope life will smooth out a bit soon for both of them. Isn't it sad to think they may be right: big time shitake is about to hit the fan! God help us!

N was interested in Satanism for a while. He is into anarchy now. Anything to buck the system! I don't blame him.
